A look into…Greenock Morton Football Club – 7 November 2019 – 08:00 – 10:00

Join Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce as we delve behind the dugout at Cappielow to take a closer look into Greenock Morton FC and it’ partner organisations, Morton in the Community and Morton Club Together.

Attendees will hear from Morton CEO David MacKinnon on his role in the Club and how the club operates as a business; as well as Morton’s history and their current challenges.

Other speakers include Brian McLaughlin, Chief Executive of Morton in the Community, which is a registered charity that uses the power of football, and the Greenock Morton Football Club brand, to deliver a number of projects across the Inverclyde area to promote healthy lifestyles, and physical and mental well-being.

Over 5,000 people engage in the programmes annually which has led to proven growth and progression across sport, health, education and employability in Inverclyde.

There will also be a chance to hear from Morton Club Together founder Graham McLennan.

This innovative project looks to inject significant new investment into Greenock Morton FC to delivering better outcomes for the club and community by providing fans with the opportunity to pledge a monthly contribution which goes straight into the club.

Inverclyde Chamber will also provide an update on upcoming events and initiatives and there will be networking opportunities before and after the speaking portion of the morning.
