Caroline Wengel – New Membership & Business Development Executive

Caroline Wengel is the Member & Business Development Executive at Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce, supporting local businesses to maximise the value of their membership through networking, business support and growth opportunities across Inverclyde and the wider region.
Born and bred in Greenock (maiden name Mackay), Caroline brings a strong mix of local knowledge and commercial experience. She began her career with Compaq, a major employer in the local area at the time, before going on to build and run Houston Brewing Company at the well-known Fox & Hounds in Houston.
She later worked with national body Scotland Food & Drink, supporting sector growth, collaboration and business development across Scotland, and has also contributed locally through her work with Your Voice, a respected Inverclyde charity, as well as providing HR support within the care sector.
Caroline works with the Chamber 2.5 days a week, alongside her independent HR consultancy, giving her a well-rounded understanding of both business needs and community priorities across Inverclyde.
She is always happy to connect with members and local businesses—whether to help you grow your network, promote your business, or access the right support.
