Oak Tree Housing Association Ltd

Oak Tree Housing Association (OTHA) is a well-established, community-based housing provider operating across Inverclyde. Headquartered in Greenock, we are a not-for-profit Registered Social Landlord and Scottish charity, committed to delivering high-quality, affordable homes and services that strengthen local communities and promote opportunity and inclusion.

Since our formation in 2001 through the merger of three local housing associations, OTHA has grown to become one of the largest social landlords in the area, owning and managing nearly 2,000 homes. Our properties include general needs housing, supported accommodation, and homes designed for people with mobility needs.

We play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of Inverclyde’s residents, providing stable tenancies and wraparound support to help people sustain their homes. We work closely with local partners, including the Council, third sector, and health and social care services, to support those experiencing hardship, reduce inequality, and improve lives.

Beyond our core landlord role, we are a major local employer and contributor to the economy. We support jobs directly through our 40+ strong workforce and indirectly through our use of local suppliers, contractors, and consultants. We also invest significantly in local regeneration, housing development, and community empowerment initiatives. Over the years, we’ve delivered more than 60 housing developments across the area.

Our commitment to continuous improvement and tenant engagement has been recognised in our consistently strong performance against national regulatory standards. Most tenants believe we offer good value for money, are satisfied with our services, and feel we keep them well informed and involved.

We are currently delivering a new Business Plan for 2024–2027, with a clear focus on sustainability, digital transformation, and improving outcomes for tenants. Key priorities include building on our local partnerships, investing in existing homes, and developing new homes where financially viable. We are also committed to supporting Inverclyde’s Just Transition and net zero ambitions.

Joining the Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce aligns with our desire to collaborate more closely with local businesses, share knowledge, support the local economy, and contribute to wider place-based ambitions for Inverclyde. We value strong local networks and see membership as an opportunity to strengthen ties, forge new partnerships, and promote our shared vision for a thriving, inclusive Inverclyde.

As a social business with deep roots in the community and a forward-looking mindset, Oak Tree Housing Association is keen to play an active role in the Chamber and support its mission of fostering growth, innovation, and collaboration across the area.
