Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce Congratulates Member CEO and Founder Alison Bunce on Receiving British Empire Medal

Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce is delighted to congratulate Alison Bunce, CEO and Founder of Compassionate Inverclyde, on being formally presented with her British Empire Medal (BEM) by the Lord Lieutenant of Renfrewshire, Colonel Peter McCarthy.

The presentation ceremony, attended by Alison’s family, friends, and more than 40 dedicated Compassionate Inverclyde volunteers, was a true celebration of community spirit. The atmosphere was filled with pride as attendees gathered to honour Alison’s outstanding contribution to Inverclyde through her leadership, compassion, and commitment to supporting others.

In her remarks, Alison reflected on her personal journey and emphasised that this recognition belongs not only to her, but to everyone who has supported Compassionate Inverclyde’s mission. She credited the volunteers, partners, and community members who have helped shape the organisation into a beacon of kindness and connection.

As one of our valued Chamber members, Compassionate Inverclyde continues to exemplify the power of community-led initiatives. Alison’s BEM is a well-deserved testament to her inspiring work, and Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce is immensely proud to celebrate this achievement alongside her.
