New information panels celebrating Port Glasgow’s rich shipbuilding and industrial heritage have been unveiled alongside the iconic Shipbuilders of Port Glasgow sculptures at Coronation Park. The eight panels share stories and historic images of local shipyards, related industries, and the wider history of the town and Inverclyde.
Commissioned by Inverclyde Council during Port Glasgow’s 250th anniversary year and funded through the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, the panels enhance the popular attraction and help bring the story behind the sculptures to life for visitors.
