Inverclyde Women’s Aid, a prominent organisation dedicated to supporting women and girls experiencing domestic abuse, is proud to be supporting the 16 Days of Activism campaign through a series of events in Inverclyde.
The campaign seeks to raise awareness and take action against violence against women and girls, as part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence initiative.
Commencing on November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and culminating on December 10th, Human Rights Day, the global 16 Days of Activism campaign will feature a series of events, workshops, and online actions to engage and raise awareness worldwide, focusing on the need for collective efforts to eradicate violence against women and girls.
ICC Member, Inverclyde Women’s Aid is supporting the 16 Days of Activism campaign that encourages local residents and allies to take a stand against gender-based violence and pledge their support towards creating a safe and equitable society for all women and girls.
Inverclyde Women’s Aid Director, Linda Harkin said: “Violence against women and girls is an ongoing issue that requires immediate attention and collective action. Through our annual 16 Days of Activism campaign, Inverclyde Women’s Aid aims to educate, empower, and support the local community in recognising, addressing, and preventing gender-based violence in all its forms.”
