Crann Taic SCIO is a Scottish charity with a simple but vital purpose: supporting other charities. Taking its name from the Gaelic for “support,” Crann Taic provides finance and digital expertise to third-sector organisations across Inverclyde and beyond, helping them run efficiently, stay compliant, and spend more of their time and resources on the causes that matter to their communities. We recognise that many charities and community groups are rich in passion and commitment but stretched thin when it comes to the specialist skills that keep an organisation on a sound footing.
Their mission is to strengthen the wider charitable sector by making professional finance and digital support accessible to those who need it most. By handling the essentials from financial management and reporting to digital systems and tools, they allow free fellow organisations to focus on delivering their services and growing their impact. In doing so, they aim to build a more resilient, sustainable third sector where good causes can thrive.
Our vision is a creative powerhouse.
Creative Regeneration have been carrying out feasibility work on the Glebe with plans to raise funds to acquire the building and to carry out significant capital works, making the building accessible, zero carbon and flexible for community use. We will organise events, activities and exhibitions within the refurbished building as well as manage the facility.
We believe that this iconic B-listed building still has a role to play in supporting our communities by delivering social, economic and cultural regeneration.
We aim to provide spaces which support, nurture and develop communities to realise and share their talent and skills, sustaining a creative future for Inverclyde.
We acknowledge the value of unleashing creativity, the community empowerment it can bring and the better future it can deliver for all of us.
Access to flexible, cost effective space builds the community resilience by enabling people to connect through shared interests, learn new skills, undertake training that may lead to lifetime employment opportunities or just come together for events and exhibitions.

Unlock Your Business Potential:
Operating a tourism, hospitality, or retail business has never been more challenging. Rising costs, changing customer expectations, recruitment pressures, and increasing competition can make growth feel difficult to achieve.
This is where I could help.
With extensive industry experience in sales, business development, and commercial leadership, my career has taken me from family hotels and retail businesses to historic venues and international golf resorts across Scotland and beyond.
Currently, I work alongside business owners, trustees, and leadership teams to uncover opportunities, increase revenue, and develop sustainable growth strategies. Providing practical support that’s tailored to specific organisational goals.
Expert Support & Mentoring:
My approach is hands-on and personal. Rolling up my sleeves and working alongside a team to strengthen commercial performance, build confidence in conversations and create meaningful relationships. This leads to increased bookings, stronger recommendations, and long-term loyalty.
Many business owners approach me because they’re asking questions, including:
· What is the travel trade, how can it help us attract groups and tours?
· How do we attract cruise ship passengers?
. How can we generate more business during quieter periods?
· Traditional funding isn’t available this year. What alternative income opportunities exist?
· How do we convert more enquiries into confirmed bookings?
· How can we motivate our team to actively engage with visitors?
If these questions sound familiar?
The benefit of specialist support isn’t simply advice. It’s having an experienced, independent sounding board who can help you see opportunities more clearly. Creating a realistic action plan. Together focusing on the activities that will have the greatest impact on your business.
It starts with a conversation:
If you’re looking for fresh ideas, practical solutions or greater confidence, I’d be delighted to arrange an exploratory conversation.
Let’s talk about what could be achieved for your business!
