At Ardgowan Hospice we are proud to be the first hospice in Scotland to take part in ‘Volunteer to Career’ - a programme funded by Hospice UK and Helpforce which aims to support the professional development and recruitment of volunteers who are considering a career in healthcare by allowing them practical exposure to a healthcare environment.

We are looking for caring, dedicated and passionate volunteers (aged 18 and over) who wish to gain first-hand experience in the role of a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) and work with our Ardgowan Hospice team who are proud to deliver high standards of person-centred specialist palliative care.

-No prior experience or formal qualification needed.
-Must obtain a Disclosure Scotland check (PVG) before starting the programme.
-Must be willing to volunteer for approximately four hours per week.
