Established in 2006, RWCU provides affordable loans, accessible savings accounts, and financial education to over 12,000 members, primarily from some of the most socio-economically deprived areas in the West of Scotland we have a strong penetration in Renfrewshire and Inverclyde. Our mission is to combat financial exclusion by offering a sustainable, ethical alternative to high-cost lenders and traditional banks, helping to keep wealth within local communities.

RWCU operates through a hybrid model that includes three branches and a robust online platform, making financial services accessible to all. We are not just a credit union; we are a community asset, working to build local financial stability, support small businesses, and encourage personal savings. As a member-owned organisation, our governance is democratic, meaning our members directly influence decisions that impact the services they use.
