Inverclyde Chamber kickstarted its physical events programme on 24th August 2021 with a visit to Dales Marine Services yard in Greenock.
The ‘Let’s Talk Business’ event was the first held within a business by the Chamber since March 2020 and was well attended by a variety of sectors and local business people.
Dales Marine presented the company’s capabilities and an insight into current and future projects in each of their 5 Scottish facilities, highlighting Dales contributions to the Inverclyde area by way of employment and ongoing investment in the Greenock site.
Charlie Connaghan, Dales Health & Safety Officer also provided a tour of the Dales facilities for the attendees.
Andrew Malcolm, Business Development Manager at Dales Marine Service said:
‘It was a great pleasure to host the first ‘Let’s Talk Business’ event after the lockdown and welcome so many businesses to our Greenock yard.
“I have been a supporter of the chambers since my appointment as BD Manager of Dales Marine in August 2020, so it was great to be able to finally showcase our Inverclyde operation as well as share the news of past, current and of course future projects we are currently working on.”
George McKay, Chief Executive of Inverclyde Chamber said:
“I’d like to extend my thanks to Charlie, Andrew and the Dales Marine team for their hospitality and a warm welcome to their outstanding yard.
“The facility that is now in place has grown rapidly and it is wonderful to see this sector thriving once again in Inverclyde.
“It was fantastic to finally host a face-to-face event within a business setting and we look forward to growing this programme further.”
