Inverclyde Council has a wide variety of funds and schemes to support local business growth.
Please find below an outline of Grant & Loan Support available from Inverclyde Council’s various schemes.
Small Business Assist Grant
Offers support of up to 50% of total costs (excluding VAT) to a maximum of £5,000 for capital expenditure on business development activities.
SBA Marketing Grant
The SBA Marketing Grant offers support of up to 50% of total costs to a maximum of £500 (unable to pay for VAT) for all Marketing activities.
SBA Start-up Grant
Offers support of total costs to a maximum of £500 (excluding VAT) for capital expenditure on business development activities.
Small Business Loan Scheme
Offers support through interest-free loans, repayable over three years up to a maximum of £5,000 (excluding VAT).
Small Business Assist Training Grant
Offers support of up to 50% of total costs to a maximum of £2,000 (excluding VAT) for training which will have the potential to improve the development of the business in terms of turnover/profitability or employment. Training should be aimed at management and key workers.
Tourism Grant
Offers support of up to 50% of total costs £1,000 depending on project maximum £5,000 (excluding VAT) for business development type activity including improvements to services, facilities and marketing activities.
Phase 2 Growth New Start Fund
Offers support up to a maximum of £500 (excluding VAT) towards start-up costs of new businesses. The grant can support the costs of a range of expenses including commercial rent, marketing, website development etc, but cannot be used for wages or stock.
Phase 2 Growth Company Development Fund
Offers support to help businesses meet specific business growth objectives up to £10,000 (excluding VAT). It can support capital expenditure, exhibiting at national trade shows or the costs of developing innovative products or processes. The purchase of furniture and consumables is not eligible for support.
