MSP Jamie Greene has praised a UK-wide employability scheme that has helped 140 young people in Inverclyde back into work.
Figures show that 260 jobs have been made available for Inverclyde young people aged 16 to 24 through the Kickstart scheme.
Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce is an approved gateway organisation, supporting local businesses to apply.
Mr Greene said:
“Young people have been hit disproportionately hard by the pandemic and must be supported as quickly as possible back into employment.
“The Kickstart scheme is already helping to do that and it’s crucial that both of Scotland’s governments focus fully on our recovery.”
