Inverclyde’s annual fireworks display is back next month following a three-year absence.
The Inverclyde Council event, which is free to attend, is at Battery Park, Greenock on Saturday 5 November 2022.
It had to be cancelled in 2020 because of covid pandemic restrictions and could not go ahead last year because of a lack of stewarding staff.
This year’s display will be set to a score of contemporary pop music from the last year.
Provost Drew McKenzie said: “After the disappointment of missing out on the fireworks displays in each of the last two years it’s great to have them back.
“It’s a real highlight of the year for many families and a good opportunity for people to gather, wrap up warm and enjoy a spectacular display in a beautiful location at Battery Park.”
The fireworks start at 19:00 but there will be food stalls and entertainment, including fairground rides, from 17:00.
The Battery Park car park will be closed to the public and the area is expected to be busy, so people are advised to arrive in good time and use public transport where possible.
