An Inverclyde businessman has been named in the King’s New Year’s Honours List.

Puneet Gupta, co-founder, and chief executive officer of ICC Member, PG Paper, has been made an OBE for services to business, charity and the Scottish community.

The Kilmacolm businessman recently won a Special Award for Business Leadership at the Asian Achievers Awards in London.

Last year he was also named as a patron of the UK’s leading veterans’ mental health charity, Combat Stress, after championing the cause.

The Inverclyde man is also a director of Inverclyde Leisure and he frequently supports many local good causes as well as being a former Director of Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce.

His wife and co-founder of PG Paper Dr. Poonam Gupta was previously honoured with an OBE in 2017.
