McGill’s Bus Group is proud to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant, promising to support local armed forces communities across Scotland. This pledge ensures that those who serve or have served, and their families, are treated fairly.
By signing the pledge, ICC Member McGill’s joins more than 10,000 organisations across a range of sectors that have committed to providing fair treatment for veterans, serving personnel, reservists, and their families.
The business already supports the armed forces in a number of ways, including free travel for serving military personnel on all buses, engaging with armed forces charities and in recruitment drives.
The Group is a committed armed forces-friendly employer, recognising military skills and qualifications in our recruitment and selection process. McGill’s employs many ex-servicemen and women across different areas of the business and works with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to support the employment of service leavers.
