In an event that significantly bridges the societal gap between military and civilian circles, several organisations, including Blairs, have recently been acknowledged and honoured at Trump Turnberry, a golf resort in Ayrshire. This event took place on March 26, under the auspices of the Lowland Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association (Lowland RFCA), an agency that enhances understanding and support between defence organisations and civilians.
Blairs Windows & Doors was one of 17 organisations across Scotland to sign the Armed Forces Covenant. This declaration manifests a shared commitment towards treating former and current military members and their families with respect and equality.
The participation of Blairs denotes its stand in solidarity with the international military community. All participating organisations were presented with certificates acknowledging their formal commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant.
Colonel Ted Shields MBE DL, Chief Executive of Lowland RFCA, lauded the commitment of the employers and organisations that pledged their support. He appreciated their dedication to ensuring that defence personnel can successfully juggle their military and civilian lives.
This significant event showcases organisations' deep-seated respect for those who have served in the Armed Forces, recognizing their priceless contributions and safeguarding their rights and dignity in society.
