The Communities Recovery Fund aims to support community groups, charities, social enterprises, and voluntary organisations that are helping people and communities respond to the challenges presented by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and recovery. Collaborative and partnership approaches will be encouraged to help maximise the funding available for 2021-2022.
The fund will prioritise those areas and communities experiencing the greatest impact from the pandemic. These communities were determined through the review of data from the open call for applications which ran from September 2020 to February 2021.
An initial group of 10 local authority areas have been identified as priority areas. These are:
SCVO will work with community organisations, third sector interfaces and local authorities to identify needs and develop expression(s) of interest. Applications from eligible organisations will then be developed for consideration.
A further group of priority local authority areas will be approached once the initial areas have been advanced.
The fund will consider grants for partnership applications for £50,000 to £100,000, depending on the size of the partnership. Grants for individual organisations will be considered for up to £25,000.
Funding is available from 1 June 2021 to 31 March 2022, and all funding must be spent by 31 March 2022.
