Further Director Appointments for Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce

Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has announced a further two new Director appointments to support the ongoing Chambers activities.

Ian Moffat is the Managing Director of ARC Fleet Services in Greenock, and Alistair Rodgers is the Head of Engineering at West College Scotland (WCS). Both have joined the Board in a move that was ratified at the Chamber’s AGM recently.

Previous Chamber President, Linda Scott, also used the AGM to formally step down from the Board of Directors, following a six-year association.

The additions follow the recent announcement of local businesswoman Lizzy Todd, taking the number of Directors to eight, as well as Rachel Burns becoming the new Senior Executive Officer.

ICC President, Gavin McDonagh said:

“I would like to thank Linda for her dedication to Inverclyde Chamber both during and following her presidency. She has played a vital part of the Chamber’s grand 206-year history.

“We are delighted to be able to secure two further exceptional talents in the shape of Ian and Alistair to the Board of Directors.

“Both are passionate about the Inverclyde business community and are heavily involved with their day jobs, so their expertise can only help the Chamber to continue to grow.”

Prior to ARC, Ian was the head of environmental and commercial services at Inverclyde Council, and Operations Director at Northgate, bringing over 25 years’ experience of both the public and private sector to the Board. Ian joined ARC in 2016 and has overseen its growth locally and expansion into Hillington.

Alistair Rodgers was the previous Head of Curriculum for Engineering at Clyde College before joining WCS in 2018. Alistair’s appointment ensures a continued WCS presence on the Board, following the departure of former Chamber Vice-President Anne Campbell, who was a Vice-Principal at WCS before accepting a new role with Ayrshire College in January 2019.

McDonagh added:

“We now have a revitalised Board of Director’s in place to help take the Chamber forward, and it is an exciting year in prospect for our members.

“We will be supporting a wide variety of businesses over the coming year through our events calendar and encourage new and previous businesses to get involved with the Chamber.”
