The UK Government published a white paper that sets out policy options to protect the flow of goods and services across the UK after the end of the Brexit transition period at the end of this year.
To secure this, the UK Government is proposing to enshrine in law two principles:
There is an open consultation on this White Paper which can be accessed here. Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce will be submitting a response to Scottish Chambers of Commerce who will then submit a response on behalf of the SCC Network.
To support this response, SCC has kindly prepared a summary document which includes an opportunity for our members to input into the key areas of the consultation.
SCC will compile a Network-wide response with your views taken into consideration.
We will submit an initial response to the UK Government by the 13th August and we will regularly share Network views on this topic beyond this date with UK Government Ministers.
