Communities across Inverclyde are set to benefit from a new Community Benefits Hub.
The website links community groups and not-for-profit organisations looking for practical support with businesses currently on a live contract with Inverclyde Council.
Communities can make requests for donations of equipment, labour or materials, sponsorship or financial contributions, skills, development or training, and requests must deliver direct benefits within Inverclyde.
Inverclyde Council’s convener of environment and regeneration, Councillor Michael McCormick, said the hub was a win-win for everyone involved.
He said: “Community groups all across Inverclyde can get involved with this. They can register and ask for help and contractors of Inverclyde Council can choose what support they’re able to provide.
“For a small authority like ours, this is a real win-win. You can get help with labour, materials, donations of equipment and much more. It’s like a wish-list for so many groups.
“There are many businesses under contract with Inverclyde Council who can help.
“I would urge all community groups and businesses to take a look at the new website and get involved.”
Businesses with a live contract with Inverclyde Council are eligible to register on the hub.
There are also some eligibility requirements around community groups and requests.
