A forty-metre linkspan bridge has been completed at the Dales Marine Services yard at Garvel in Greenock.
The 130-ton structure for timber handling specialist JST Services was built in just eight weeks.
It will be part of a floating pier at a site in the northwest of Scotland and will allow a shift of a large volume of logs from road to a sea-based transport system.
Business development manager Andrew Malcolm said:
“It was very much a team effort. The linkspan started life at Dales Marine in Aberdeen and was completed and delivered at Dales Marine in Greenock.
“Dales collaborated with design team T12 and Troon Tugs, who played a significant role in making this happen for the client JST Services.”
