Dubai Expo was the first time Scotland engaged with a World Expo in a major way.
The Scottish Chambers of Commerce partnered with the Scottish Government and associate organisations, providing access to multiple international markets and enhanced business connections.
The Scottish Chambers of Commerce International Network participated in St Andrews / Scotland’s National Day, Race to Net Zero / Hydrogen and Food Security & Environmental Monitoring activities.
Dr Liz Cameron CBE gave a keynote speech at the St Andrews event promoting the network’s trade mission supporting and delivering vital connections for and with Scotland with the initiative being voted ‘event of the week’ at Expo and provided the UK pavilion with its busiest event to date at that time.
These Scotland events, and others, attracted more than 1,000 attendees and the country’s presence generated significant media coverage across the UAE and internationally, helping to promote Scotland as ‘open for business’ during the pandemic.
The Scottish Chambers of Commerce Network is recognised as an internationally leading business-to-business network and we are a member of the International Chambers of Commerce which represents 40 million companies across 100 countries.
Our powerful global network can support Scottish businesses to identify new connections, provide market research, share practical advice and identify potential market opportunities. Existing across every continent in the world, we act as an agile, trusted and reliable partner for business.
