Scottish Food and Drink Producers Fund

The Scottish Food and Drink Producers Fund aims to provide support for food and drink producers supplying the hospitality sector. The fund will help businesses which suffered financial losses due to cancelled orders caused by the introduction of the new Covid-19 measures in December 2021 and January 2022.

To apply, read the guidance and criteria on the Scottish Government website carefully. Then return your completed application form and supporting documentation to fdproducersfund@gov.scot. Please indicate the name of your business in your email subject title.

This fund closes at 11:59pm on 13 February 2022.

Businesses are eligible if they:

  • are classed as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as previously defined in the EU recommendation 2003/361 – this means businesses which employ fewer than 250 persons and have an annual turnover not exceeding EUR 50 million, and/or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding EUR 43 million
  • are based in Scotland
  • primarily function as a food and drink producer
  • supply the hospitality sector on a business-to-business basis, either directly or indirectly through the hospitality supply chain

  • incurred expenses associated with the processing of the order prior to its cancellation
  • experienced a total financial loss above the minimum threshold of £1,000
  • do not qualify for the Scottish Government’s separate wholesalers or brewers support fund
