The Kings Awards for Enterprise 2026

The King’s Awards for Enterprise (KAE) – the UK’s most prestigious business awards – are now open for applications. Recognising outstanding achievement across four key categories, these awards celebrate the very best of British business in:

  • Innovation

  • International Trade

  • Sustainable Development

  • Promoting Opportunity through Social Mobility

KAE recipients exemplify the highest standards of talent, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit, gaining national and international recognition for their achievements.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, organisations must:

  • Be based in the UK

  • Have at least two full-time UK employees (or part-time equivalents)

  • Operate as a self-contained enterprise under its own management and accounts

The awards are free to enter and open to organisations across the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. Businesses can apply for multiple award categories.

Winning a King’s Award for Enterprise provides businesses with a globally respected mark of excellence. Past recipients have reported increased growth, credibility, and new opportunities in both domestic and international markets.

Since its inception in 1965, the awards have honoured over 7,000 companies, with 252 UK businesses recognised in the most recent round. Notably, 89% of last year’s winners were SMEs, demonstrating that businesses of all sizes can benefit from this prestigious accolade.

Key Dates

Applications for the 2026 King’s Awards for Enterprise open on 6 May 2025, with a deadline expected in mid-September. Successful organisations will be announced on Coronation Day, 6 May 2026.
