Golden Casket is celebrating after its partnership with Vimto to create a new Jelly Babies product picked up a national award.
In a glittering ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square, London on 4 October 2019, 147 new products in 32 categories were shortlisted for the New Product Awards.
The award-winning product by the Greenock-based confectionary firm faced stiff competition from national brands including Cadbury, Haribo and Walkers in the new confectionary category.
Judges were impressed by the innovative product, labelling it a “well-executed combo of two classics”.
Golden Casket’s Marketing Director, Sandra Fisher said:
“We are delighted to have been recognised in winning this award.”
“This is a great achievement for us and shows what effective partnership and collaboration work can achieve.
“Being recognised for this award in what is the company’s sixtieth anniversary is just the icing on the cake.”
The fruity treats, which taste like the popular soft drink’s blackcurrant, raspberry and grape flavours, cost £1 and are available nationwide.
