Care Worker Recruitment Event

Job hunters are being encouraged to check out a care worker recruitment event at an Inverclyde supermarket on Friday 19 November 2021.

It will take place in the Port Glasgow Tesco store from 09:00 – 16:00, hosted by staff from Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP).

People will have the chance to speak to home care experts and find out more about the various roles, contracts and shift patterns that are currently available.

There will also be support to fill in applications and book an interview slot.

Councillor Robert Moran, Inverclyde’s convener of health and social care, said:

“As part of the Inverclyde Works campaign, the council and HSCP are trying to make it as easy and convenient as possible for people to find out more about roles that are available and give them all the help and support they need to apply and, hopefully, secure a position working in what can be such a fulfilling job and career.

“Applying for a job and going for an interview can be a daunting experience for many people but this informal event right in the heart of the community is a great idea to provide an opportunity to speak with friendly staff who work in the sector and who can answer any questions and share their expertise and knowledge.

“With their support and training, this could be the start of something great for anyone out there who is looking for work or interested in a career in care.”

There are currently several home support worker vacancies in locations across Inverclyde ranging from 10.5 to 35 hours per week with shifts and contracts available to suit different circumstances.
