Chancellor Rishi Sunak visits Peak Scientific

Scottish manufacturing company, Peak Scientific, welcomed the Rt Hon Rishi Sunak, Chancellor of the Exchequer at their Innchinnan HQ on Friday 7 August 2020.

The Chancellor visited Peak Scientific’s headquarters, where he was given a tour of the company’s manufacturing facility. Company employees present on-site were also given the opportunity to meet with The Chancellor himself during his visit. Douglas Ross, Leader of the Scottish Conservative party was also present on-site.

As an essential business manufacturing laboratory equipment for the analytical sciences field, Peak Scientific has continued its operation throughout the coronavirus pandemic, supplying products to key customers, including hospitals and research laboratories, across the globe.

Peak Scientific also recently announced further expansion into Inverclyde after signing a long-term lease with Riverside Inverclyde for a second manufacturing hub unit to add to their existing research and development office at Kelburn Business Park in Port Glasgow, creating 20 new jobs.

During his visit, The Chancellor witnessed first-hand how the global manufacturing company has implemented safe measures for its members of staff, allowing the business to continue to deliver its service to its worldwide customer base.
