Discover Inverclyde Launch To Support Tourism Sector

Discover Inverclyde

Inverclyde Council, in partnership with Tourism Inverclyde and VisitScotland, has been developing an updated visitor website and marketing call to action to support the tourism sector.

The aim is to launch this as the lockdown is eased for the tourism sector across Scotland.

Using the call to action ‘discover Inverclyde’, the website aims to be a one-stop-shop for visitors and residents to showcase Inverclyde’s attractions, visitor offer, towns and villages.

Local tourism business can get listed on the site and can use it to share their news and events updates.

ICC President, Gavin McDonagh said:

“Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce welcomes this launch of the refreshed Discover Inverclyde platform at a time when the tourism sector locally and nationally has the chance to promote our stunning location around the world as a positive message during these unprecedented times.

This is an excellent opportunity for Inverclyde’s tourism businesses to showcase their company and offering as we attempt to support the local economy collectively.

We would encourage local tourism businesses of all sizes to get involved with Discover Inverclyde, and we hope this initiative can further enhance Inverclyde as a destination for visitors.”

When the website is live there will be online forms to upload this content.

In the meantime, if businesses wish to be included for the launch, they should email the council’s communications and tourism team at discover@inverclyde.gov.uk with the information listed below and confirmation that they are happy to add this information to the new website:

  • Business name
  • Address including postcode
  • Website and social media accounts
  • Phone number
  • Email
  • A short description of up to 100 words
  • An image (no smaller than 1960px wide)
