Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce’s much-anticipated trade mission to Colombia will be taking place today, Wednesday 2nd June. ICC is proud to be leading the network’s first official mission to South America.

A total of 16 companies of all sizes and sectors are taking part in the online webinar, including local firms PG Paper, MM Search, Clyde Coffee Club and Ardgowan Distillery.

We are delighted to welcome a range of companies from across Scotland also to the mission, with companies in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Glasgow taking part. Once again, Inverclyde Chamber is putting Inverclyde on the international map again.

ICC is also delighted to have 7 companies in observing capacity including Diageo and Agrekko (as Scottish companies operating in Colombia) and Inverclyde-based The New Chocolate Company.

Our event partners are local agencies ProColombia and Invest in Bogota. Special thanks are also due to BritCham Colombia for their support in developing the event.

Ivan McKee MSP, Minister for Business, Trade, Tourism and Enterprise was due to attend but unfortunately has been called to a debate in Parliament. We are delighted to confirm that Richard Rollison, Director for International Trade and Investment, Scottish Government, will be there in lieu.

ICC is also delighted to welcome British Ambassador to Colombia, Mr Colin Martin-Reynolds CMG, who originates from Glasgow, supporting the event.

The event will be led by ICC CEO, George McKay, with new ICC President, Mark Spragg giving the closing remarks.

The full programme can be seen here, with all International Trade Missions also available here from across the Chambers Network.
