International Business Mission To Japan By Inverness Chamber of Commerce

Osaka

Inverness Chamber of Commerce is leading a virtual trade mission to Japan to support Scottish companies looking to explore the opportunities available when trading internationally.

This mission will focus on Tokyo, Osaka and Nagasaki and we are pleased to invite applications from Scottish businesses as part of the Chamber Network.

Japan is the world’s third-largest economy after the USA and China and offers an array of business opportunities for a broad range of sectors. Japan is a lucrative market with consumers typically having high levels of disposable income and being interested in high end, quality goods and services. A strong, stable economy coupled with a low fluctuating currency makes Japan an attractive environment for foreign investors.

Japan has a highly developed, modern infrastructure (roads, railways, airports, ports, warehouses, telecommunications) making for easier distribution of products and services. The country has over 20 ports and 5 international airports making it a well-connected location.

  • The mission will be held virtually
  • Delegates will receive an information pack prior to the mission taking place, outlining the agenda and suggested market research.
  • Attendees will take part in a range of workshops to learn about doing business in Japan (market awareness, tax and legal workshops, case study presentations
  • There will be networking opportunities throughout the week
  • Inverness Chamber of Commerce will facilitate B2B meetings and introductions to stakeholders and potential clients or partners in Japan based on your company’s ambitions
