Maximising The Potential Of The Scotland Loves Local GiftCard

Scotland’s Towns Partnership has been working closely with local authorities and business organisations across Scotland to make the roll-out a success for businesses and consumers.

It is great news that businesses across Scotland are signing up to receive payments via the Scotland Loves Local Gift Card, allowing them to benefit from the additional spending stream that the Gift Card provides.

I firmly believe that there is limitless potential in the Scotland Loves Local Gift Card – not only in boosting local economies and supporting local businesses, but as an inclusivity tool that can be used to provide dignified support to all within our society.

In the past week, we have welcomed the Scottish Government’s announcement that it will put £80 million into a new COVID Economic Recovery Fund for local authorities to support businesses and communities as we move into a new phase out of the pandemic.

We strongly consider that this investment can supercharge the Scotland Loves Local Gift Card programme in every region of Scotland as an economic stimulus tool and would be pleased to share and discuss ideas with you as to how the funding can be used to unlock the full potential of the Scotland Loves Local Gift Card as a force for good in every community.

With that in mind, I would be delighted if you could join a webinar with Scotland’s Towns Partnership and our operational gift card partners, Miconex, on Thursday 10 March at 1pm to hear from the Scotland Loves Local Gift Card team on opportunities to maximise Gift Card’s potential in every region of Scotland.
