MCT Enjoys Huge Increase In Membership In One Week

MCT Celebrates Increased Membership

Morton Club Together (MCT) has welcomed a 132 new members following the agreement in principle to take over Greenock Morton Football Club from Golden Casket in time for the beginning of the 2021/22 season.

MCT views the takeover as an opportunity to safeguard the club’s long-term future, and are keen to thank the Rae family and Golden Casket for their support as well as all of its existing members for their overwhelming response to the announcement.

Coupled with existing members who have increased their pledge, membership contributions have been increased by an incredible £20,000 per year in a week alone.

Every single pledge makes a difference as MCT looks to move Morton forward and following the historic announcement, a number of questions were raised through webinars, social media and on the fans forum.

MCT has now published answers to these questions, which can be read here.

MCT has also appointed Graham Barr as a Director. Graham served as the club’s Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO) for the past three seasons (a role Graham has now resigned from) and has been involved with MCT since the outset.

As part of MCT’s marketing and communications team, Graham will play a key role in MCT’s desire to drive improvements with communication between the club and its fanbase.
