Minister Meets With Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce Members

Ivan McKee MSP, Minister for Business, Trade, Tourism, and Enterprise was Inverclyde Chamber’s guest speaker at its recent roundtable webinar on Thursday 9th December 2021.

At the intimate event, Mr McKee gave his opening address to the room and outlined his focus on engagement, trade missions, and attracting investors to Scotland as well as working through the current challenging economic conditions.

Mr McKee continued to describe his work with overseas investors to attract them to Scotland, with a focus on Ferguson Marine, Diodes, and the Inchgreen site in Greenock to support local jobs and the firms to grow successfully in the coming years.

George McKay, CEO of Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce, facilitated a productive discussion between Mr McKee and multiple Inverclyde-based businesses, with topics including non-domestic rates, local depopulation, the Glasgow City Deal, support for entrepreneurs, and e-commerce funding support.
