Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has announced another exciting line-up of networking events for February, including a breakfast meeting with Ivan McKee MSP, the Minister for Trade, Investment and Innovation.

Mr McKee will host the intimate meeting to discuss the ways in which Inverclyde can attract long-term inward investment, as well as supporting infrastructure, connectivity and sustainable, inclusive economic growth.

Business keen to attend must have experience in and/or are considering exporting from the area or have an interest in growing exporting capabilities.

The roundtable takes place on Wednesday 26 February 2020 at the Beacon Arts Centre from 8am to 9.30am with the free-to-attend spaces limited to fifteen. More details can be found here.

Software Training Scotland

The first event of the month will take place on Thursday 13 February 2020 and is a continuation of the successful look behind the scenes series with Inverclyde businesses.

This month’s hosts are Software Training Scotland, who have been providing opportunities in digital learning to individuals, groups and organisations since 2011.

Their accredited courses are available to a wide range of learners at their dedicated base in Scarlow House Business Centre, which is also an SQA approved learning centre in Port Glasgow.

The event will take place from 8.30am to 10am, and tickets are free for ICC Members or £5 for guests. They can be secured via Eventbrite.

ICC is also continuing with its newest networking format, Twenty2020. The event is held over lunch and gives businesses an opportunity to showcase their products or services to the local business community.

The format is simple; a 20-minute overview, a 20-minute discussion followed by 20-minute’s networking before returning to the workplace.

MM Search, who recently joined the Chamber membership, is the latest business to showcase. Specialising in senior and board-level recruitment, MM Search is an independent executive search firm.

With its fast-moving, dynamic and collaborative approach, focusing on client service, MM Search also supports individuals to secure sought after Chair and Non-Executive Director positions.
