New Membership Engagement Manager Strengthens Inverclyde Chamber’s Commitment To Its Members

Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce has announced its appointment of Shari Workman to a new role as Membership Engagement Manager.

Shari, an American citizen who now lives in Inverclyde with her husband, has extensive business experience in the private, healthcare, and the public sector.

Business and commerce have faced unprecedented challenges in the last 24 months with Covid-19 and Brexit, with the Chamber recognising the need for strong business communities and support.

Inverclyde Chamber has therefore invested in this new position to provide greater support and value to its members.

Announcing the new role, Mark Spragg, President of Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce, said: “I am excited to welcome Shari to the team and further strengthen the overall staff structure of the Chamber to support our goals.

“Her enthusiasm and passion, coupled with her previous experience of working with the Chamber of Commerce network, will enable us to increase our engagement with our wider membership, helping them to connect and network both locally and via the wider Chamber business network”.

Shari, who started on the 1st of December 2021, is passionate about connecting businesses and helping them to grow and develop, which has been a strong theme throughout her career.

Chamber members will have an opportunity to meet with Shari at its Christmas Dinner and Networking Event at the Clyde Suite in Greenock on 16th December 2021.

Reflecting on her new role, Shari said: “I was thrilled to be selected for this position which will enable me to connect with local businesses and to help them get the best out of the opportunities that Inverclyde Chamber has to offer.

“We have a healthy size of membership already and I’m excited about the opportunities to grow this in the coming months and connect with our existing members.

“I am looking forward to meeting with our members in the coming weeks and hope to see many of them at the Festive dinner and networking event.”

Anyone interesting in speaking with Shari can contact her by email at membership@inverclydechamber.co.uk.
