Scotland Food & Drink to Launch Free Business Directory

Scotland Food & Drink are launching a food and drink directory to help local companies increase their B2C sales in light of the current Covid-19 pandemic.

Scotland Food & Drink are urging local businesses in the industry to take advantage of this free resource as they focus on finding new ways to support businesses, particularly those who have been impacted by the decimation of the hospitality and catering industry as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak.

Caroline Wengel, Business Development Manager at Scotland Food and Drink said:

“As markets change, so too has consumer behaviour. With an increase in at-home consumption of food and drink, producers, wholesalers and food service companies now have a significant opportunity to sell direct to consumers through online orders or local deliveries/pick-ups.”

She added:

“To support this, Scotland Food & Drink has created a bespoke food and drink directory that consumers will be able to search by region and product type and purchase directly through your website or by telephone.”

All listings are free for businesses and the portal will be supported by a ‘Shop Local’ communications campaign led by Scotland Food & Drink. The directory will go live before 20th April on listing have been received.

To be included in the free directory, simply download and complete the form here, then return the form with a hi-resolution logo (JPG or PNG) to fiona@foodanddrink.scot. It will then be reviewed by the team and, provided all information is present and correct, will be uploaded to the Scotland Food and Drink website within 48 hours.
